Another 2 weeks
WOW, I'm a slacker...not really sure where to begin, other than the goddamn terrorists.
So, as you may have heard, London is under attack from terrorists. I have been lucky enough to miss two bombs narrowly now, and it's starting to piss me off. First one was on the way to Heathrow, via Edgware Road about 20 minutes before the bomb. Miriam and I were on our way there so that she could catch her flight home, but by the time we had got to Paddington (1 stop from Edgware Road) and caught the Heathrow Express (15 minute journey), the bombs had gone off. I ended up being stuck at the airport until 6pm, when they reopened the overground trains back into London, and so jumped on the train to a chaotic London.
2nd near miss...I get out of my flat (at Warren Street), am about to buy a tube ticket, when many many many many people run out screaming. I stop. Think. And don't buy the ticket, presuming the screaming can't be good news. 5 minutes later, they've cordoned off the whole of the Tottenham Court Road (1 mile long) and have evacuated my apartment building and the hospital next door.
Other than that, it's been a good couple of weeks. Have seen quite a few movies with Lori, now that she has her UGC unlimited movie pass too. To sum up:
MADAGASCAR - Great characters, story needs a little work (maybe a lot), looks stunning.
IMAGINARY HEROES - Definitely not an upper. Even though the synopsis describes it as a comedy. Suicide, gay sex and infidelity.
BATMAN - Had seen this first time round with Miriam, but both Lo and I decided that it would be good to see it a second time...still loved it, and still wanted to be Christian Bale.
FANTASTIC FOUR - Forget it. Not even worth mentioning.
KUNG-FU HUSTLE - Yeah...this one's a strong candidate for my next DVD buy. LOVED. IT.
So all in all...good movie watching...except Fantastic Four, which, had I paid for it, would have been an utter waste of money. An I will never get those two hours of my life back.
Okay...off to speak to parents now...am being fed after a day with my mum's dad...
